Head of Business Development - Director

The Business Development Team (BDT) at Agricam spearhead the business generation of the company by means of creating leads and pipeline. In charge of creating new client opportunities as well expansion opportunities at the existing customer base the Developers are at the forefront of the growth of the company. The Business Development Team is a separate unit within Agricam customer facing organization and cooperates closely with sales, marketing, customer success as well as product management. The Business Development Director is a Level 3 management role, reporting to COO and part of the commercial management team (CMT). The BDT team consists of three employees, including the Director.
 

Responsibilities
 

  • Responsible to manage and lead the team according to staff policies towards the targets set out by the company (approximately 15-20% of the time)

  • Establish contact with new business opportunities via phone, email or other digital tools.

  • Report leads and pipeline in the CRM-system, as well as handover Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) to the Cow Account Manager (CAM) for further facilitation, ie closing and handover to Customer Success Management (CSM)

  • Determine where to seek new business in the assigned territory

  • Detailed knowledge of Agricam product and services and how they translate create strategic value by means of digital innovation

  • Maintain relations in the assigned territory with key new client stakeholders as well as other influencers, such as veterinaries, suppliers and other partners

  • Maintain positive sales and pipeline growth in your market area

How success is measured
 

  • Develop and maintain new business leads and pipeline of 4x the ARR (annual recurring revenue) in the assigned territory

  • High employee net promoter score (eNPS) in the team

  • High client net promoter score (cNPS) in the assigned territory  

Qualifications: Minimum of three (3) years of management experience in commercial roles in fast growing tech companies and five (5) years of business development experience.

Business Development Manager - Senior

The Business Development Team (BDT) at Agricam spearhead the business generation of the company by means of creating leads and pipeline. In charge of creating new client opportunities as well expansion opportunities at the existing customer base the Developers are at the forefront of the growth of the company. The Business Development Team is a separate unit within Agricam customer facing organization and cooperates closely with sales, marketing, customer success as well as product management. The Business Development Manager - Senior reports to the Business Development Director.
